LOCKERD, John A., age 83 of Hendersonville, passed away June 22, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy; son, Hubert (Loretta) Lockerd; daughters, Charlynn (Ken) Foust and Robin (Thor) Hendrickson; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. John was very proud of his military service and his numerous positions with the US Government and Senior Executive Service from which he retired. He was active in the Hendersonville VFW as a Korean war veteran. He was active in the Vanderbilt Bridge Club and marshalled numerous golf tournaments. Family will receive friends Wednesday June 25, 2014 5-8pm at Cole & Garrett, Hendersonville. Service Thursday 9am with visitation 1hr prior. Interment, Middle TN ST Veterans Cemetery.
