Don Dickenson, of Hendersonville, passed away August 15, 2014 at the age of 80. Mr. Dickenson was a loving and giving father and grandfather of 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Don was one of the founders of Middle Tennessee Youth Soccer. He coached Hendersonville Youth and High School Soccer for several years and took the High School team to a State Championship. He was instrumental in the growth and development of hundreds of young athletes. He inspired everyone who knew him with his positive attitude and courage. He was a member and volunteer at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Sally Dickenson, and his great-grandchild, Bryan Broom. Survived by his children, Donna Meade (David), Debra Mason (Malcolm), Darlene Sinks (Tim), Mike Dickenson (Tia); grandchildren, Christi Broom (Matt), Carrie Fogleman (Jared), Adam Sinks, Earl Mason (Liz), Wesley Mason (Vanessa), Abby Spaulding (J.B.), Greg Mason,, Brayden Dickenson, Trinity Dickenson; great grandchildren, Hannah Broom, J.P. Mason, Evelyn Broom, Isaac Mason, SarahAnn Broom, Silas Mason, Libby Mason and Owen Fogleman; brother, Ralph Dickenson (B.J.). A Celebration of Life visitation is set for Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Blue Grass Country Club, 550 Johnny Cash Parkway, Hendersonville.
